Typical values for guidance when you shortlist a grade. They are the ranges commonly published by molecular sieve producers on 1688 and Alibaba.com. Every shipment is released against the measured values on its own certificate of analysis — ask for the COA before you design a bed.

3A Molecular Sieve
The standard choice where water must go and hydrocarbons must stay — cracked gas, LPG, refrigerants, insulating glass.

4A Molecular Sieve
The general-purpose drier for gases, liquids and sealed packaging. Removes water, ammonia and methanol.

5A Molecular Sieve
Adsorbs normal paraffins and is the workhorse of PSA oxygen and hydrogen purification.

13X Molecular Sieve
The largest pore opening of the common grades. Takes water and CO2 together in air separation clean-up.

Made for air separation pre-purification, where H2O and CO2 must both go in one bed.

Li-LSX Molecular Sieve
Lithium-exchanged low-silica X: the highest nitrogen capacity, so it is the basis of modern VPSA oxygen plants.
Lithium X · highest N2 uptake · PSA and VPSA oxygen, 90–95% purity
Carbon Molecular Sieve
Not an equilibrium adsorbent — it separates by rate. That is what makes short PSA nitrogen cycles work.
