Stops ice and acid
Water left in a system freezes at the expansion device and reacts with refrigerant and oil to form acid. 3A takes the water out and keeps it out.
Only takes water
3A does not adsorb refrigerant or lubricant molecules — the desiccant dries the circuit without changing what is inside it.
Sizes for filter driers
Beads supplied in the fractions used by drier manufacturers, with low dust for automatic filling.

- 3A Molecular Sieve — the grade used for refrigerant and lubricant drying
- 4A — where a slightly larger pore is acceptable and the circuit is compatible
- 13X — general drying duties outside the refrigerant circuit
