Oxygen Generation

Molecular sieve for PSA and VPSA oxygen generation

Nitrogen-selective grades for medical and industrial oxygen concentrators — high N2 uptake at a low pressure ratio, so the unit uses less air per cubic metre of O2.

Molecular sieve for PSA oxygen generation

Oxygen is produced on site by PSA and VPSA plants using a nitrogen-selective zeolite. Air is compressed and passed through the bed; nitrogen is retained and oxygen leaves as product.

Grade selection has a direct effect on oxygen recovery and product purity, which is why Li-LSX and X-type grades are normally specified for this duty.

Higher N2 uptake

LiLSX takes up more nitrogen per cycle than standard zeolites, which cuts air consumption.

Stable purity

Purity held in the 90–95% band across the cycle, with bead strength for fast cycling.

Refills as well as new builds

Supplied for new vessels and for refilling existing beds, with the bead size matched to the vessel.

Oxygen purity90–95%Set by cycle design and bed sizing
Adsorption pressure1.5–4 bargLower ratio favours LiLSX
Cycle time30–120 sShort cycles need high attrition resistance
Air-to-oxygen ratio4–6Lower is better for power consumption

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Li-LSX preferred over standard X grades?

Lithium exchange increases nitrogen adsorption capacity and nitrogen-over-oxygen selectivity, which supports higher oxygen recovery and product purity for the same vessel size.

What purity can be achieved?

Product purity depends on plant design, cycle and operating pressure rather than on the adsorbent alone. Share your target purity and flow and we will advise on grade and bed sizing.

How should the adsorbent be handled before loading?

Keep it sealed and dry until loading, avoid exposure to liquid water and oil, and follow the loading and start-up procedure supplied with the material.

Factory-Direct Supply

We manufacture molecular sieve at our own plant and export directly to industrial buyers and distributors — no trading layer between the production record and your certificate of analysis.
